Ferro was accidentally killed after being struck by a police car.

Ferro was sent by his handler on a direct apprehension of a suspect running across five lane highway. Another responding officer accidentally struck Ferro while driving into the scene to assist.

‍

Ferro worked as a member of the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office for almost four years.
